The Wren Bakery
The Wren Bakery works with women in Leeds who face multiple barriers everyday. Experiences such as poverty, gender based violence, criminal records and poor mental health prevent them from participating in the benefits that well-being and employment can bring.
We exist to reach these women, and other hidden groups in our city for whom the challenges they face have a devastating impact on their lives and their ability to work.
The Wren Bakery believes in second chances and sees the potential in every one of these women.
We aim to empower and equip them to hope for a future, and give them the tools to obtain it.
Miel Bakery
Miel is an independent, French-influenced boulangerie & patisserie in Fitzrovia, London. We make everything on-premises from scratch by a small team of passionate and highly trained bakers. We use only the best ingredients, baking throughout the day with care, technique and lots of love.

Our homely cake shop in the heart of Victoria Park, Cardiff, offers hand-crafted, stylish buttercream cakes for any occasion – birthday cakes, wedding cakes, cupcakes for a baby shower – we have you covered! We also serve delicious sweet & savoury brunch and have a counter filled with fresh cupcakes, cookies, macarons and other treats.
Jack & Beyond
Jack & Beyond is an online cake shop with a bakery and cosy café on Battersea High Street, London, just a few minutes walk from Clapham Junction Station. We believe that good cake makes life better and specialise in creating affordable bespoke and fully personalised celebration cakes for delivery across London within 24 hours or for collection from our shop. We also offer smaller treats such as delicious brownies, cookies and mince pies which are available for UK wide delivery.
Hill St.
We grew up in a little village in Essex. As kids we fought like brothers do. Chris took himself off to Paris to train as a chocolatier. Greg tried his hand at design. Now both grown up and back in Britain, we realised we have more in common than we thought: A desire to be the best, big respect for our local community, an appetite for experimentation and uncontrollable love of chocolate. And so, Hill St. was born. A unique experience for chocolate lovers with a taste for authenticity. Created by local boys with big ambition.
Doh’hut
The idea for doh’hut came from a road trip down the west coast of the USA where I was inspired by all the food trucks and street food. I just had to think of an idea which was ‘British’ and something a little different so I could stand out from the crowd.
Donuts it was! After thinking back to my childhood and days of a student buying packs from Morrisons every other day, with classics like raspberry jam, I thought what’s more British than a Raspberry Jam Donut?
At the time there was no-one in my city of Leeds offering donuts, other than the obvious Krispy Kreme, and I knew I could make a better donut.
Skip forward a year, I had a recipe, a brand and started to book in small events to try my luck selling my product.
Cake Stories
Cake Stories is about bringing people together, helping people feel good and letting people know that they’re brilliant.
Whether it’s visiting our shop and being welcomed like old friends, receiving letterbox bakes knowing that someone is thinking of you, or one of the Cake Stories team working hard to make the dream work, we want anyone who plays a part in our story to be on the receiving end of our core value; People are important.
And we try to do this through the language of cake. Cake won’t change the world. But being kind to each other will… and if that involves cake, then awesome, but – however you do it – be kind and let someone know they are important.
Bread Ahead
Bread Ahead was founded in 2013.
Matthew started his working life as a chef. His first 15 years were spent working alongside some of the best chefs in the UK throughout the 90s. In 2000 he set up his first bakery business. Based in the renowned Borough Market, Bread Ahead has become a destination for Londoners and food fanatics across the globe.
