When it comes to sticky pork chops, they just don't get tastier than these! Not only do these sticky pork chops make for a delicious dinner, but they’re also easy to make and can be paired with loads of different sides and garnishes to really compliment the tender, sticky sweet combination of the pork chops and apple ‘slaw.
HOW TO MAKE STICKY PORK CHOPS - Follow this simple 4-step recipe for the most mouth-wateringly tasty sticky pork chops you’ve ever had!
First make the coleslaw by mixing together the cabbage, carrot, onion, apple and lemon juice to taste. Season and toss together.
Preheat the grill. Arrange the pork loin chops on the grill rack. Mix together the Tate & Lyle Dark Soft Brown sugar, cider vinegar, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, tomato ketchup and wholegrain mustard, stirring until the sugar has dissolved.
Brush the chops with the glaze, cook for 5 minutes and baste after 3 minutes. Turn the chops over and brush with the baste again. Cook for a further 5-10 minutes, turning and basting frequently, until cooked through with a sticky glaze.
Serve your sticky pork chops with the apple coleslaw and garnish with watercress and rocket.
In addition to the apple coleslaw, a nice side of crusty French baguette or even cornbread are popular pairings for pork chops. Sauteed veggies and/or rice also work well as delicious sides to accompany your sticky pork chops. When it comes to vegetables, stir-fried is a good way to go! Alternatively – since pork tends to go well with sweeter flavours – you can’t go wrong with roasted root vegetables. We recommend turnips, parsnips, and carrots, or even rutabagas to really nail that perfect flavour blend!
